Shipping goods to Israel can be expensive, so decide carefully on each item you want to bring. All goods shipped to Israel should be marked "of no commercial value”; they should be fully insured (including taxes and duties), and detailed inventories should be available.

Be aware of the possibility of loss. We do not recommend using postal service for essential material or valuable/important goods. From experience it is better to pay extra fees with more luggage than to mail material. DHL and Fedex are better than the post, but they are also more expensive.

If you want to send a document, you can send it as registered mail. It usually works well.

When you order something from abroad, even if the company offers you free delivery, it does not mean the Israeli Custom Service will not charge you. Check with your local post office to clarify the options.
